War and Childcare Chapter 2
The Moral Law causes the people to be in complete
accord with their ruler, so that they will follow him
regardless of their lives, undismayed by any danger.
The I Ching says "happy in the face of adversity, the people do no consider their own death". Share in your family’s triumphs and defeats so that they may share in yours and be there for baby sitting when you feel utterly defeated and in need of getting completely wankered.
Heaven signifies night and day, cold and heat,
times and seasons.
You baby or child will slow down in the cold and will be naturally afraid of hot objects once one of your grandparents has illustrated to them why candles are dangerous. Temperature is a weapon which need not leave the kind of marks that get you arrested. The cold water shower in the bathroom is your ally.
Earth comprises distances, great and small;
danger and security; open ground and narrow passes;
the chances of life and death
Generally you baby or child will have the advantage in narrow environments like a shop with many aisles, an aircraft cabin or around a candle laden christmass tree ( although Pavlov training with the candles may make them freeze with fear – see rule 7 above.) On the open ground ( a field, beach or derelict building site ) you will have the advantage. Especially if armed with a bolas, a lasso or a stun gun.
Get the biggest double bed you can.
The Commander stands for the virtues of wisdom,
sincerely, benevolence, courage and strictness.
Think of yourself as a wise benevolent dictator who always means what they say. Have the courage of your convictions.
( Remember we are talking about your relationship with your troops here not with the enemy )
By method and discipline are to be understood
the marshaling of the army in its proper subdivisions,
the graduations of rank among the officers, the maintenance
of roads by which supplies may reach the army, and the
control of military expenditure.
Choose your baby sitters according to how easy it is to get them home home.
These five heads should be familiar to every general:
he who knows them will be victorious; he who knows them
not will fail.
Make sure all your family and baby or child minders know these rules. If they follow the rules they too will be victorious in their battles.
